The first Friday of every month, historic downtown Flagstaff opens its doors from 5 to 9 PM — galleries, studios, breweries, and shops filled with local art, artists, and live music. Free, walkable, and under some of the darkest skies of any city on Earth.

Every First Friday this season, the Aspen Street block by Heritage Square closes to cars — more room for people, pedals, and art. There's even a community bike ride rolling in for the 5 PM start. Love it? Help keep it past 2026.

Start at Heritage Square
The walk's hub on Aspen Ave — grab a paper map, catch street performances, and get your bearings. In the 2026 season, Aspen goes car-free between Leroux and San Francisco.

N San Francisco Street packs seven art spaces into two facing buildings — co-ops, fine craft, working studios. Openings, artists in the room, and doors that stay open late.
Cross the tracks
The Southside keeps it going: a ceramics center, a working gallery district, breweries and an alcohol-free kava lounge — the locals' second half of the night.
