Privacy policy

FlagstaffArtWalk.org is a free guide you can read without an account, a login, or giving us anything. Two things can collect information about you here:

• Google Analytics 4, which tells us how the site is used so we can improve it.
• The contact and Get Listed forms, which send us what you type when you choose to write to us.

That is the whole list. There are no ads, no trackers from ad networks, and no social media pixels.

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read, how they arrived (a search engine, a link, or a direct visit), what kind of device and browser they use, an approximate location worked out from their IP address, and which venue listings and sponsor placements get clicked. This helps us decide what to build next and lets us tell listed venues how their page is doing.

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies on this site, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. They hold a random visitor identifier so repeat visits count as one person instead of many. They do not contain your name, your email address, or anything you typed into a form.

We do not use analytics data for personalized advertising, and we do not link this site's analytics to any other website. The analytics tag only runs on flagstaffartwalk.org itself.

To opt out, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block cookies for this site in your browser settings. The guide works exactly the same either way.

When you use the contact form or ask to get listed, the name, email address, venue, and message you enter are emailed to us through a transactional email service (Resend). We use them only to reply to you and, if you asked for a listing, to build it. The message sits in our inbox like any other email. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share your details with anyone else.

The form may also run a Cloudflare Turnstile check to block spam bots. Turnstile looks at your browser, not at you, and Cloudflare's privacy policy covers what it sees.

The downtown map loads its base map tiles from OpenFreeMap, a free, open-source tile service. Your browser requests those tiles directly, which shares your IP address with that service the same way loading any image from another server would. The venue pins and details are served from this site. The map never asks for your device location.

Links to venues, to Creative Flagstaff, and to other sites take you to pages we do not control, each with its own privacy policy.

This site is written for the general public and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete anything you have sent us through a form. Write to us via the contact page and we will sort it out. Analytics data is held by Google under its own retention settings and is not tied to your name.

If we add a new tool that collects information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. We will not add ad tracking without saying so here first.
