Angela Yamauchi is a Flagstaff-based photographer and artist with a background in science, engineering, and patent management — she turned from that career to art in 2017, and it shows in night-sky images that sit somewhere between wonder and precision. Her work has shown in NightVisions: Cultural Interpretations of the Night Sky at the Coconino Center for the Arts, in the Flagstaff Dark Skies Coalition's satellite exhibits at Arizona Handmade Gallery, and at Lowell Observatory, where her prints and cards are carried in the Starry Skies Shop. For the Art of Dark Skies walk (August 2026), her photographs hang at Sosta — with a talk on how stargazing sparks curiosity and imagination.
